Separate from the Mercer Island Middle School PTSA, the Mercer Island Schools Foundation also fund raises on behalf of our students.

The Mercer Island Schools Foundation has built a collaborative partnership with the Mercer Island School District and with the community to help develop and implement a shared vision of educational excellence for Mercer Island students. Funding supports the key initiatives:

• Academic excellence, new curriculum, textbooks, classroom materials and classroom enrichment
• Professional development for Mercer Island teachers
• Student support programs.

Does my gift really make a difference?  Absolutely! Gifts made to the Mercer Island Schools Foundation range from $5.00 to $25,000.00. Regardless of the amount of your gift, your donation will have an immediate and tangible impact on Mercer Island students, teachers and schools. Donations reach ALL Mercer Island schools and every one of the district’s 4,000 students.

Fall Fundraiser: Phon-a-Thon Campaign - November

Annual gifts made at Phone-a-Thon provide needed resources to support student learning by matching critical educational needs of the school district with the generosity of our donors who are passionate about excellence in our public schools.

Contributions are used annually for identified and prioritized funding needs for students and their teachers across the district. Donations provide exciting new, relevant classroom curriculum and materials, staff development and provide programs for struggling students that are considered essential to ensuring that all students meet or exceed district, state and federal standards for success.

Spring Fundraiser: Breakfast of Champions - April 

Celebrate excellence in education with business and community leaders and corporate sponsors who will demonstrate their support for Mercer Island students, teachers and their schools. This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear inspirational stories from students of all grades and help raise funds for the Mercer Island Schools Foundation. The morning’s showcase program will feature entertainment and student and teacher speakers who have participated in Mercer Island Schools Foundation funded programs.

This incredible morning event helps ensure excellence in education rich in varied learning experiences that encourage all students to reach their full potential. Our business sponsors, donation-matching angels and community attendees are the key to our fundraising success.
