6th Grade Events

IMS "Back2School" Day:

Typically a week before the first day of school, IMS Back2School is the day all students and parents come to IMS in order to take their school photos, pay fees, sign-up for PTSA volunteer opportunities, pick up the student class schedule and receive the locker assignment. Students can self tour IMS and check on their class locations during this event. Practice with locker combinations usually are available on this day too.

First Day of School: 6th Grade WEB Experience

On the first day of school, IMS runs on a special schedule where only 6th grade students and their 8th grade WEB Leaders attend school in the morning. The new 6th graders will have a large welcome assembly and then will break into small groups where they will be team building experiences for students, followed by tours and lunch. All 6th, 7th and 8th graders will then run through a shortened schedule of their 6 classes beginning at 11:20 am.

IMS 6th Grade Welcome Party and Pizza Feed

Typically held 2nd week of school.  All 6th Grade students and their families are invited for an evening to explore the school, meet fellow IMS families and enjoy a Pizza Feed.  Tickets for Pizza are on sale at Back2School day or in our IMS PTSA Store.
