Raise money for IMS, support our local, independently owned bookstore, and enter a FREE raffle for a Mothers Day Gift Basket.

Continuing their long-standing and generous commitment to Mercer Island School District, Island Books will contribute 15% of all in-person or phone sales, including toys, housewares, and gift card sales, to Islander Middle School’s PTSA on Thursday, May 9th from 9:00am-6:00pm in support of our students, teachers, and school activities. Just in time to celebrate the mothers in your lives with a thoughtful gift and a delightful new read!

How can you help?? Please sign up to provide sips, treats, or your time.

NEW THIS YEAR! Please help assemble a basket of goodies a mother would enjoy! Shoppers on May 9th can sign up for the raffle and will be called that day. No purchase is necessary! Just a fun encouragement to get people out on a busy weekday. Volunteer early (9am-11am) and host bagels, bestsellers, sparkling water, juice, and coffee, or help from 4pm-6pm and savor a glass of wine, a small bite, and wonderful books and gifts. It's an easy and fun way to support IMS! Set up will be 8:45am, service from 9-11am and 4-6pm.

NOTE: Mother’s Day Basket raffle contributions are requested on Wednesday, May 8th at my house (6510 81st Ave SE). Food and drink delivery is requested the morning of the event at Island Books, but you're welcome to deliver in advance to my house. Please send me an email so I'll know to look for it.
