PTA Reflections Art Contest
National PTA Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. The program was developed in 1969 by Colorado’s PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork.
Each year, students in Grades Pre-K through 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through film production, dance choreography, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Deadlines for submissions is end of November. For more information, please visit WA PTA Reflections or email reflections@imsptsa.org.
See the list of past winners on the MI PTA Council Reflections page.
The theme for 2024-2025 is “Accepting Imperfection”
Students submit their completed works of art in one, or all, of the six arts areas:
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Literature
- Music Composition
- Photography
- Visual Arts
Please read the Reflections rules carefully - students may only submit one
submission per category. However, students can and are encouraged to
participate in multiple categories.
Deadline for 2024 submission is December 4, 2024, by 3:45 pm. Please
submit all entries electronically with this link. For visual arts and photography

All participants and winners will be recognized at the ceremony with certificates
